resi-linx (hereinafter referred to as “We”) is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept securely in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We collect information from you when you register on our site or place an order. 

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your personal details: name, residential and billing address, telephone or mobile numbers or e-mail address. You may, however, visit our site anonymously although you will not be permitted to purchase products on our site without maintaining current registration. Further if you are a trade customer you will be asked to register as a trade customer and provide us with details to support that registration. The information that you give us will form part of your information that is used and retained by us.

PAYMENT SECURITY

SSL Technology

When purchasing from us your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard. We do not keep your credit card details on file. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) suffered by you if your credit card is fraudulently used or is used in an unauthorised manner by a third party.

MasterCard SecureCodeTM and Verified by Visa

MasterCard SecureCodeTM and Verified by Visa are new initiatives from MasterCard and Visa that provide added security to ensure that only you can use your Visa or MasterCard card to make purchases online. It helps to authenticate the MasterCard and Visa cardholder’s identity via a password at point of purchase - similar to entering a PIN in an ATM; at which point the system communicates with your financial institution to verify the PIN.  The online purchase process does not change except that now you will be prompted to provide your MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa code at the checkout when the request box pops up. Your PIN will never be revealed to the store/retailer. Where this process is in place you MUST have a registered card and submit the correct PIN in order to proceed with the purchase.

Don’t worry if you haven’t yet used this facility; it’s easy to activate for your existing card, through the financial institution that issued your MasterCard or Visa, only takes a few minutes and it’s free. Your bank may allow you to choose between setting a password or using a code sent via text message to your mobile phone.

When you register for MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa, some issuers may ask you to create a Personal Assurance Message or Personal Message.

Note:

• While MasterCard SecureCode & Verified by Visa can be used over mobile devices with connections to the internet, only some MasterCard & Visa card issuers are offering this service. Please check directly with your card issuer.
• MasterCard SecureCode & Verified by Visa work with most browsers. Please be aware that software that prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of this feature.
